Remember early on in the offseason when Jadeveon Clowney was striving to reset the market for defensive lineman in free agency? That seems like a century ago as the three-time Pro Bowler's prolonged spell on the open market is still very much ongoing as we enter the final stretch of June.

According to the last buzz, however, the Clowney sweepstakes could soon draw to a close as Tennessee Titans radio announcer Mike Keith believes "there's a real chance" the organization could sign the 27-year-old stud.

You don't say? At this point, we've grown fatigued with the conflicting rumors that have hinted at potential landing spots for Clowney, so we're really hoping that the Titans put an end to this madness.

During an appearance on NFL Network, Keith referenced Clowney's history with Titans head coach Mike Vrabel and veteran cornerback Jonathan Joseph, both of whom he spent time with as a member of the Houston Texans. Most importantly, however, is the fact that Tennessee has the cap space, $19.938 million, to be exact, to pull it off.

The Titans are the betting favorites to land the former No. 1 overall pick, but until it's reported that they offer him a reasonable contract, we won't get our hopes up that this saga is nearing its final chapter.
