Defensive back Logan Ryan joined the Tennessee Titans in 2017 when he signed a three-year deal. He made it all the way to last year's AFC Championship Game, and started all 16 games during the regular season.

The veteran is a free agent this offseason, and after a few months without a deal, he's announced he will not be re-signing with the Titans. He shared this in an Instagram post that featured a final parting shot at the franchise.

#PayDerrick was the perfect farewell message and a great sign of support from Ryan toward Derrick Henry. Getting Ryan's annual value of $10 million off the books surely helps the team clear up money in their quest to give Henry a potential record extension, while still figuring out how to properly value a running back in the modern NFL.

Spotrac estimates the Titans have just over $21 million in cap space right now. Henry signed a $10.2 million one-year franchise tag tender this offseason, but could end up holding out with the hope of landing a long-term extension. Something around Christian McCaffery's annual value of $16 million may be what it takes to get a deal done.

The Titans will also have to replace Ryan's production after he had 113 tackles and four interceptions in 2019. That need can be added to the list of importance, right behind an extension for Henry.
