Timing for Yankees Reliever Dellin Betances Being Activated Off the Injured List is Perfect

Finally, the long wait is over for star Yankees right-handed reliever Dellin Betances. Could the timing be any better?
Missing the entire season thus far due to shoulder issues, Betances was officially activated off the Injured List on Sunday morning. Now, he'll look to make his 2019 debut for Aaron Boone and Co.

Unfortunately for the Yankees, injuries have been a major consistency for the team this season. If it seems like a primetime player has gone down with something on a weekly basis, you're not too far off.
However, it hasn't stopped the Bronx Bombers from putting together an unforgettable campaign. Entering Sunday's game, the Yankees are 98-52 and are on the verge of capturing the AL East crown. With dreams of bringing home the World Series, getting healthy now is as important as ever. Adding Betances as an option out of the 'pen obviously is huge for this club.
Prior to today’s game, the Yankees made the following roster moves:
— New York Yankees (@Yankees) September 15, 2019
· Reinstated LHP Jordan Montgomery from the 60-day IL.
·Reinstated RHP Dellin Betances from the 60-day IL.
· DFA’d RHP Ryan Dull.
·Transferred RHP Jonathan Holder to the 60-day IL.
Last season, Betances appeared in 66 games, posting a 2.70 ERA. While it might take him a little while to get back to full speed on the bump, look for the 6-8, 265-pounder to play a big role for the Yankees sooner than later.
