The Detroit Tigers just got themselves a good one. With the fifth-overall pick in the 2019 MLB Draft, the Tigers selected prep outfielder Riley Greene.

Greene has a great left-handed swing, and many scouts believe that there's no doubt that he will hit at the next level, with a 60 grade hit tool, and a 55 power tool according to MLB.com.

Greene truly knows how to drive the ball, and really knows the strike zone, which is a huge plus. He's a bit pull happy at times, which could be an issue considering the insane shifts that are happening in MLB right now, but he'll learn how to drive the ball more to all fields in the minors.

Greene now joins Casey Mize, Alex Faedo, Matt Manning and Christin Stewart as a first-round pick for the Tigers, and will have a good chance at playing with all of them in Detroit within the next three years thanks to his truly special bat.

Congratulations on getting drafted, Riley! Time to get to work.
