Tiger Woods Painting Missing Players Championship as 'Not Concerning' Isn't Fooling Anyone
By Michael Luciano

The Players Championship used to be a place where Tiger Woods got to flex his muscles, even when he wasn't at his best. Sadly, his injury woes have returned in a pretty significant way.
For the first time since 2017, Woods will not participate in the Players Championship, as his agent, Mark Steinberg, claims that his back is "not ready." While he stopped short of calling it a concern, that did little to calm down the legions of worried Tiger fans.

Woods is fresh off struggling mightily at the Genesis Invitational, his most recent outing, shooting a +11 for the entire event and putting up a +6 in the final round.
When you add back concerns, which have been the main source of injury woes for Woods over the course of his career, into the mix, it sounds like we could go quite a while without seeing Tiger compete.

While Tiger has proven several times over that he can come back from devastating injuries, eventually his luck with bouncing back is going to run out. Fans just need to cross their fingers and hope that this isn't as concerning or ominous as it sounds.
