Thomas Davis will never have to pay for a beer in North Carolina ever again. The man is no question a Carolina Panthers legend and fans will never forget the brilliant plays he made with the team during his 13 years with the organization.

Once the two parted ways, though, it was tough to see him suit up for the Chargers in 2019 and then the Washington Football Team in 2020. Now, Davis is ready to retire, but before he does that, he wants to close things out with the team he loves most.

With the veteran linebacker getting released by Washington, he'll now sign a one-day contract with Carolina and retire as a Panther. Seriously, things couldn't have ended any other way. Davis recorded 1,098 tackles with Carolina and was a three-time Pro Bowler.

Now, Davis is ready to hang up his cleats and will do so after signing his one-day contract with Carolina. Props to the Panthers for letting this happen.
