This Undrafted Free Agent is Guaranteed to Make the Bills

The Buffalo Bills have decided that the best way to help Josh Allen make the leap from wild card to star is building him a quality offensive line. While they have used draft capital on helping him out on that front, like with the selection of Cody Ford in 2019, they have also added several undrafted free agents in the 2020 class to help keep Allen upright.

That makes Washington tackle Trey Adams the most likely UDFA to stick on Buffalo's roster.

Adams had one of the worst combine performances this year, as a 5.6 40-yard dash and poor agility times highlighted that his mobility in the field and ability to handle explosive rushers off the edge has been all but sapped away due to his repeated serious injuries.

What Adams has going for him is his pedigree. Strong as an ox, Adams is a two-time First-Team All-Pac 12. His ability to get horizontal and create running lanes stands out, as does his ability to pick up twists and stunts on the outside, a trait that many offensive line prospects struggle with.

If the Bills are getting the injured Adams, he's no more than a practice squad player. If he returns to the form he showed before his injuries, he could work his way onto the 53-man roster as a backup tackle on either side of the line.
