Theo Epstein's Latest Comments on Joe Maddon Certainly Sound Pessimistic

The 2019 season for the Chicago Cubs hasn't exactly gone to plan.
Despite looking like they'd easily clinch a wild card spot entering September, their fortunes have quickly gone downhill with countless of frustrating losses.
Cubs end 5-game streak of one-run losses with 7-run loss.

This has not only caused speculation of certain players leaving, but also possible changes in management. For the latter, Theo Epstein's response to a reporter asking about manager Joe Maddon's status with the club didn't sound promising at all.
Theo declines to say when he will make the Maddon decision: "I'm going to keep that between me and Joe. It's just not something I’m comfortable talking about."

Maddon, who was the manager for the Cubs during their World Series win just three years ago, now looks to be on the hot seat. It's hard to say this is a surprise, as the consistent losing and questionable comments definitely haven't helped his case.
Now that the Cubs have officially been eliminate from the playoffs, Maddon's tenure in Chicago could be over in a matter of days.
