Clint Frazier's tenure in New York has oft been marred by rumors of him being shown the exit door. The 24-year-old has already dealt with more than his fair share of trade rumors since joining the team from Cleveland, but the Yankees should stand firm and keep the young outfielder.

Frazier has impressed during his stint in the big leagues this season, acting mostly as a replacement for injured stars Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton.

He's displayed a great attitude and even tried to play through an ailment of his own during the peak of the Yankees' injury galore.

Even if Frazier is relegated back to a bench role when the Yankees (finally) get fully healthy, he's done more than enough to prove his value to the team. He's slashing .258/.289/.517 with 9 home runs and 24 RBI across 33 games. Those aren't pedestrian numbers by any means.

Despite the notion that teams have been monitoring him as the Yankees try to navigate a trade for a starting pitcher, the team should keep him off limits in those discussions. While the need for a good arm is apparent, it may be even more important to maintain the squad's depth.

Not to mention, Frazier won't even hit arbitration until 2021, meaning he's playing on an extremely team-friendly contract.

Red Thunder has done all he can to earn himself a long-term ticket on this Yankees' train, and management should reward him with just that.

He's become a fan-favorite this season, and despite the expected interest from opposing clubs, he should be in pinstripes for at least the remainder of the year.
