The Rock Celebrates Daughter Simone Johnson Signing WWE Contract With NXT

One of the most famous families in all of wrestling just added another to the professional ranks. Dwayne Johnson was a proud papa on Instagram this week, beaming at the news that his oldest child, Simone, has now signed a contract with WWE as part of its NXT brand.

The business won't know what hit 'em.

Simone's great-grandfather, Peter Maivia, was a trail-blazing Samoan-American pro wrestler, and one of the leaders of the iconic Anoa'i wrestling family. Peter's son-in-law, former tag team champ Rocky Johnson who sadly passed away in January, is the father of the man who would go on to be known as The Rock.

The rest is history. If Simone makes it all the way to the squared circle of the WWE, she'll be the first-ever fourth-generation superstar in the history of the organizaton and its predecessors.
