Embattled Kansas City Chiefs speed demon Tyreek Hill won't receive any punishment from the NFL after the league concluded their investigation into his child abuse allegations and relationship with fiancee Crystal Espinal.

Just weeks after it was announced that Hill would face no legal punishment, as authorities couldn't prove a crime had taken place, Hill will get a whopping zero game suspension. The league's reasoning for their inability to discipline Hill? His child is now safe.

But deflating footballs and minuscule amounts of marijuana can earn a suspension, right?

The infamous audio recording featuring Hill and Espinal, which leaked in full weeks ago, had Espinal mentioning Hill's abusive ways toward his son, with Hill commenting that his fiancee should be terrified of him.

While the league might be correct in saying that from a criminal law standpoint, authorities did not have enough evidence to bring this case to trial, the NFL has suspended players longer for far more trivial offenses, even when they didn't face legal repercussions. Due to that precedent having already been sent, their reasoning rings hollow on the Hill ruling.

Now that the dust has settled, no one truly won in this case. The Chiefs and Hill further besmirched their reputations and the NFL looks weak and inconsistent from a discipline standpoint. It's just a huge mess from every perspective.
