With the live sport hiatus hitting the 50-day mark recently, fans are desperate for anything that resembles engaging competition. Fortunately for them, Game of Thrones star Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, who famously played "The Mountain" in the hit HBO series, provided just that on Saturday. Checkout the 6-9, 450-pound behemoth set a new world record by deadlifting 1,104 pounds.

We're not sure how that's possible, but it's exactly what we like to see! Back in 2016, Eddie Hall set the record by deadlifting 500 kg (1,102 pounds). Björnsson has been training to usurp Hall's mark for months now, and the fact that he's done so while half the world is quarantining is awesome.

The fact that Björnsson doesn't win World's Strongest Man every year is ridiculous. For those wondering, he's finished runner-up both years since taking the crown in 2018. This preposterous feat proves that there nobody stronger than the ginormous Gregor Clegane.
