The Knicks Reportedly Not Wanting Chris Paul in Trade Truly Proves How Bad Situation With Rockets Is
By Michael Luciano

When even the Knicks of all teams won't take a risk on your bad contract, you know things are looking pretty gloomy.
As the Houston Rockets attempt to jettison Chris Paul's $121 million contract after reports of strife between he and James Harden as well as his declining production on the court, Daryl Morey figured that the Knicks, who are loaded with cap space, would send them a nice care package in exchange for Paul and his albatross of a contract.
However, Knicks GM Scott Perry game to his senses and said no thanks.

So you're telling me that a 34-year-old point guard on a max contract with three years left on his deal isn't the easiest guy in the world to trade?
The Knicks need to be applauded for their admirable restraint in this area. The Glen Grunwald/Phil Jackson Knicks of yesteryear would have done this deal in a heartbeat. At least the Knicks are committed to their rebuilding plan.
Me: There’s no way the Knicks trade for Chris Paul with a horrible contract when’s he’s 34

While a Harden-Paul duo, as has been proven, can win you games in this league, Rockets fans better brace for another year of flaming out in the West semifinals if they can't unload Paul's contract and retool the roster.
