The Best QB in the Arena Football League is Literally Named Tom Grady
By Sean Facey

The Arena Football League might actually be the perfect parallel of the NFL.
Why, you ask? Because the best quarterback, and perhaps the best overall player in the league, is literally named Tom Grady.

That's right, the 2019 Arena Football League MVP's name is one letter away from being the same as that of legendary New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.
The similarities don't stop there, though. Grady lit the league on fire this year, completing 68.6% of his passes for 3,097 yards, 68 touchdowns and a 125.5 quarterback rating. All of those stats led the league by a hefty margin.
There's just something about that name. It's got a winning theme to it.
Had the best time covering the Arena Bowl on @ESPN. So grateful for the opportunity and the players & coaches who made the night so much fun. (Also funny that I covered a Super Bowl this year with a QB named Tom Brady & an Arena Bowl Championship w/ a QB named Tom Grady ?) pic.twitter.com/4QoKPQO6GA

Grady and the Albany Empire ended up winning Arena Bowl 32 on Sunday by a final score of 45-27 over the Philadelphia Soul, capturing a title in just their second year. He completed 16-of-25 passes in the game, putting up five touchdowns in the process.
Never forget that the Arena Football League's newly-minted MVP and three-time winner is literally named...Tom Grady pic.twitter.com/OxhqQt3leQ

So it seems as though he shares the clutch gene with his NFL counterpart as well.
But if there's one thing that the success of Grady and Brady proves, it's that having the right name is an absolute must when it comes to winning football games, no matter the setting.
