University of Texas softball star Miranda Elish seems to be in good spirits following her scary accident.
One of the team's coaches, Mike White, shared a photo in which Elish was all smiles after her injury, a relieving sight to see after the Longhorns ace took a throw directly to the face at high velocity on Friday evening.

Eilish suffered the injury after an errant throw from the catcher on a play that the umpire had ruled dead in Friday's game against Alabama. The ball struck her in the face and she was forced to leave the game.
Elish had been an anchor for the Longhorns' run through the College Softball World Series. On the season, Elish posted an absurdly low 1.91 ERA and was batting .313, proving to be a strong force on both sides of the ball.

It's good to see that the talented phenom , who visited the hospital as a precaution, is in good spirits.
Hopefully she returns to the field in stride, dominating her opponents with the stellar combination of passion and talent that she flashed throughout her prior performances.
