JJ Watt is more than just a football star. He is a pop culture icon these days.

On Tuesday, Saturday Night Live revealed the hosts and musical guests for the first two weeks of Feburary.

The first show of the month, taking place on Feb. 1 and presumably serving as a Super Bowl Spectacular, will be hosted by none other than the Houston Texans' own JJ Watt.

After putting up elite performances weekly as a defensive tackle for the Texans, Watt's name started to make headlines. Since his emergence as an absolute force, Watt has starred in commercials and guest starred in television shows, making his live comedic acting debut not too far out of left field.

It seems to make sense that Watt would host that weekend, considering the very next day is the Super Bowl, a game his Texans narrowly missed out on. Expect a few football-oriented sketches so the show can at least play to Watt's strengths, if comedy isn't one of them.

Watt is directly following an episode hosted by Adam Driver, an actor who consistently kills it whenever he appears on SNL, so it may be a tough act to follow. However, if Watt's comedic acting career doesn't work out, he's always got football to fall back on.
