The Houston Texans have dropped a bomb literally out of nowhere.

The organization has fired general manager Brian Gaine after just one season. The news come as an utter shock as the Texans gave Gaine a fresh, five-year contract in January of 2018.

Houston released the following statement regarding the news:

Gaine spent the 2017 season as the Buffalo Bills' vice president of player personnel and was hired by Houston the following year to replace Rick Smith, who took a leave of absence to care for his ill wife, who died of cancer in January.

This is alarmingly similar to the New York Jets' predicament from last month when they fired GM Mike Maccagnan after allowing him to preside over the team's draft and free agency.

At least Texans fans, very fresh to this sort of incompetence, can turn to the Jets fanbase for solace and guidance during this strenuous time.
