You might think we have an agenda against Houston Texans head coach Bill O'Brien, but that is anything but the case. His ineptitude deserves to be consistently chastised because, well, he makes foolish decisions at an alarming rate.

This time, however, O'Brien didn't make a head-spinning trade. Rather, Houston's de facto general manager attempted to defend his recent transactions, particularly the indefensible DeAndre Hopkins trade, and repeatedly asked Texans fans to "let it all play out" in a really sad video.

"We feel very, very good about being able to get the 40th pick, being able to get David Johnson," said O'Brien. "Again, it's very incomplete, and we have several roster moves left to go, including a draft and all the other things that I mentioned earlier. So we feel very good about the value that we got from the trade. I'd say let's review it a year from now, two years from now, three years from now. Let's let it all play out."

O'Brien having to shoot a video to justify the moves he's authorized is as sad as it gets. Most front office executives don't need to beg for the support of fans simply because they already have the required vote of confidence.

We don't get our jollies from berating folks, and we'd love nothing more than an excuse to applaud O'Brien for a particular achievement. However, it's just been a downward spiral of poor decision making time and time again.
