Tennessee Fends off Late Charge From Kentucky and Florida to Land 4-Star Athlete
By Mark Powell

Give Jeremy Pruitt some credit, the Tennessee head coach is on a role, ending the Vols regular season with a surprising seven-win squad and taking that momentum into the Early Signing Period.
Tennessee has officially landed Jimmy Calloway, a 4-star ATH who projects as a wideout and swiss army knife as the collegiate level. While Calloway was linked to the Vols for a long time, including a commitment eight months ago, Pruitt and Co. had to fend off fellow SEC contenders Kentucky and Florida for his services.

Calloway reportedly considered waiting even longer to officially sign with Tennessee with a Florida visit on the horizon. However, after taking an official visit to Kentucky recently, the Morrow, GA, native knew he wanted to make his place in Tennessee's 2020 class official.

Calloway cited the connection he'd built with the Tennessee coaching staff as his reasoning for signing with the Vols despite the interest from various other programs.
