Tedy Bruschi Updates Fans on Stroke Recovery With New Social Media Post

The NFL world held its collective breath when former New England Patriots linebacker and current ESPN analyst Tedy Bruschi suffered his second stroke last Thursday (his first came back in 2005 during his playing days with the Pats). In a statement released the following day, it was revealed Bruschi had a transient ischemic attack.

He immedietly recognized what was going on and rushed to the hospital. Fortunately, Bruschi was released on Friday and is recovering nicely, according to his family. The three-time Super Bowl champ then gave us an update of his own via his social media accounts on Monday morning.

The picture Bruschi posted is a list of warning signs to be aware of in case you or someone you know may be experiencing a stroke. As caption reads:

"Around 10:30am on July 4th I lost use of my left arm. I then tried to speak and realized I was slurring my speech. As I turned to my wife she noticed the left side of my face was drooping. We immediately knew what was happening. These are stroke warning signs. We called 911 and an ambulance got me to the hospital. Thank you for all your kind thoughts and prayers. I’m doing much better."

We're all glad to see the New England all-timer is in good shape considering how scary the initial news felt. Bruschi is one of the toughest players to ever lace them up, so no one should be surprised that he's fighting back from this one with such spirit.
