Stephen Jones' Comments on NFL Realignment Are So Biased It's Impressive
By Sean Facey

The topics of changing the NFL's playoff format or potentially realigning divisions altogether has been on pretty much everyone's mind this season thanks to the pathetic performance of the NFC East.
And, while it pragmatically makes sense to at least consider a change to the structure of the league, Dallas Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones amazingly says that he doesn't "see a big appetite for realignment."

His comments are so unbelievably biased that it's genuinely impressive that he was even able to say that in a serious way.
Of course Jones' and the Cowboys don't think there's a need for realignment. Why should they when a 6-7 record heading into Week 15 is good enough to put them in a tie for the divisional crown and the fourth seed?

It's downright comical how weak the NFC East is and how the Cowboys are perfectly fine with how things are. There's no sense of pride whatsoever, nor is there any semblance of duty to the NFL to make things right.
They'll just kick back, relax and bank on the rest of the division playing mediocre football.
LA (8-5) visits Dallas on Sunday as the first team out of the conference playoff race with three games remaining, while the Cowboys (6-7) somehow are still tied atop the NFC East with Philadelphia after seven losses in 10 games. https://t.co/ycsMQrmist

While any significant change still seems like a long shot, the least Jones could have done was show some sort of understanding of the problem at hand. Instead, he put on his Cowboys cap and straight up ignored that which is blatantly obvious.
