Stephen Gostkowski Notes Hilarious Key Difference Between Being a Rookie and Veteran
By Austin Pert

Ah, yes, the aging process. At some point in all our lives, we must leave youth to the young and ditch our older, more inappropriate behaviors.
As for New England Patriots kicker Stephen Gostkowski, one of the old men on the locker room now, age means he can no longer practice one of his "favorite" pastimes.

According to the man himself, as a younger player, he would go out with his teammates and try and court women. Now, that's a tough endeavor, with so many new rookies on the scene.
Gostkowski, one of the elder statesmen in the Patriots locker room, said he has less and less in common with the rookies each year: “I can’t go chasing chicks with a lot of the young guys.”

Gostkowski came into the league in 2006, drafted by the Patriots in the fourth round out of the University of Memphis. In his time with the team, he has become the franchise's all-time leading scorer, surpassing his predecessor, Adam Vinatieri. He earned a two-year extension with the team this offseason, even as other teams began to show interest in his services.
But probably the biggest change between Gostkowski the rookie and the kicker today is that he is married to his collage sweetheart, eliminating the need to constantly chase girls. Feels good to say out loud, doesn't it, Space Ghost?
