Steph Curry's hand injury has been the death nail in the Golden State Warriors' 2019 decline. Curry went out with a broken hand back in November, and the Warriors haven't been the same since.

As Curry's rehab continues, and his return to the court approaches, he's had to come to terms with nerve damage in his non-shooting hand, a condition he describes as "the new normal."

"When you have 280 pounds laying on your hand, something’s bound to happen ... I’m getting used to what the new normal is. It definitely feels different than the right,” Curry said.

Curry's expected return date is Mar. 1 against the Washington Wizards. The Warriors' season is a wash, no matter how big of a difference Curry's return makes.

However, his return will be a point of interest. How and if his play will be affected by the injury will be a concerning train of thought for the Warriors. If he can lead the team effectively down the stretch, then it will give some hope to Golden States fans as they are eager to put this down year in the rear-view mirror.

Curry's return may be the most important storyline for non-playoff teams this next month.
