Mike Tomlin's been coaching his heart out in the midst of a season plagued with injuries and controversy, and his efforts are resonating with his players.

Following the Pittsburgh Steelers' 20-13 win over the division-rival Cleveland Browns, Steelers players had nothing but praise for Tomlin, claiming that he "saved the game" in the second half.

Heading into halftime, the score was tied up at 10-10. Evidently, Tomlin wasn't too happy about that. According to a couple of Steelers defenders, Tomlin made a couple of key adjustments and drew up some new defensive schemes to shake things up.

Sometimes, reverting back to a good ol' chalkboard is what helps an NFL team the most. Tomlin adjusted and the Steelers' defense held Baker Mayfield and the Browns offense to just three points in the second half.

After the win, Tomlin understandably refused to divulge any specifics about what he exactly drew up for his players, but he cracked a smile when he was told his players said he saved the game for the team.

Somehow, with everything the team has been through, the Steelers are still in position to nab a Wild Card sport.

Tomlin and the Steelers will look to keep their momentum rolling next week when they face off against a Cardinals team that lost 34-7 to the Los Angeles Rams today.
