The three main players involved in the fight, Mason Rudolph, Myles Garrett and Maurkice Pouncey, were all fined significant amounts. Their fines combined for a whopping $130,719.
Both the Steelers and Browns were fined $250,000 in addition to the fines that their players received.
The NFL wants to use this situation as an example in an attempt to prevent similar occurrences in the future. The precedent has been set, and then some, by Roger Goodell.
In all, 33 players from Browns and Steelers were disciplined, including indefinite suspension of Myles Garrett (upheld upon appeal), per source.

There were $732,422 in total fines, including $250,000 fines to each organization.
While the $732,422 of fines is unheard of in today's game, it's necessary as the NFL heads into uncharted waters with an incident many assumed was unthinkable.
All fines received by the league are donated to organizations that support former players, so at the very least the fines aren't going straight into the pockets of Goodell and other NFL executives.
