Stats Show Packers Basically Never Get Penalized for DPI in 2019 and it's a Joke

The Green Bay Packers are the longest currently-operating NFL franchise that remains in the same locale. It's only fitting that they are receiving the benefit of the doubt from the referees in the league's celebratory 100th season.

As far as questionable whistles go, defensive pass interference usually takes the cake. As a fan, you start to see ghosts on nearly every play, worrying about that little, yellow flag even when the contact is impressively incidental. But that's not an issue if you're a fan of the Pack in 2019! Green Bay has only been flagged for it twice in 2019, for a grand total of 20 yards.

Are the Packers simply the most disciplined team in coverage this year? Or have they been the beneficiary of missed calls? The truth is probably somewhere in the middle, but it's still insane to think that they have only interfered with opposing pass catchers twice through 14 games, and without a big play stain on their resume.

Casual football fans probably couldn't even name a starting member of Green Bay's secondary. So, how are they so gosh darn good at defending without being penalized?

We don't want to go down the rabbit hole of conspiracy theories. However, if you do want to put your tin foil hat on, the Packers reaching the Super Bowl during the 100th anniversary season of the NFL would certainly make for some great story lines.
