West Virginia TE Jovani Haskins may have been trying too hard to do his best "Baby Driver" impression, after being charged with three misdemeanors by the WVU police department.

Around 3 a.m. on July 28, Haskins was speeding around campus, didn't pull over when the cops tried to stop him, and fled from his vehicle. The Bergenfield, N.J. native was charged with reckless driving, fleeing from an officer, and driving on the left side of the road.

The NCAA hasn't taken any action, but head coach Neal Brown said that the university will deal with the issue based on student conduct procedures in an official team press release.

It doesn't seem like running away from the police is great idea to start with, but leaving your student ID in the car you ran from doesn't necessarily conceal your identity. You're a college football star, not Batman.

Haskins has been able to practice with the team during training camp, but has been limited to non-contact drills. West Virginia finished with an 8-4 record last year, tying for third place with Iowa State in the Big 12. The Mountaineers will be without quarterback Will Grier this season, who was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in April.
