If it isn't broke, don't fix it.

The St. Louis Cardinals were able to knock off the Atlanta Braves in the NLDS, which is why manager Mike Shildt is riding with the same players in the NLCS against the Washington Nationals.

With the roster staying the same, that means Cardinals right-hander Michael Wacha has been left off and won't pitch in the championship series. Wacha has been recovering from a shoulder injury and the thought was that he might come back if they made it to the next round.

Well, that isn't happening.

You can't argue with the St. Louis squad keeping the same roster in place. Other than Wacha, there weren't many players who were truly vying for a postseason roster spot, and with the way they played in the last round, it's better that it remains the same.

Keep the mojo working. Both teams will be rested and ready; will this be the next 25-man group of Cardinals to make a World Series?
