Dallas Renegades offensive coordinator Hal Mumme reportedly suffered a broken leg over the weekend when Cameron Artis-Payne collided with his coach on the sidelines. Yet at the time it appeared that nothing was wrong when Mumme popped right back up and kept on coaching. Watching the play in slow motion shows how the injury actually occurred.

The 67-year-old Mumme took a direct shot as he got turned around trying to avoid the contact. Watching the play back shows just how tough the long-time coach is after all these years around the game of football. He reiterated that point on his own Twitter account.

This is a vintage XFL moment taking place in the second installment of the league. Artis-Payne didn't even stick around for too long after the violent collision before his coach toughed it out and got right back up. Mumme is tough as nails and will be coaching from the box this weekend. We will see how long that lasts from the guy who coached on a broken leg for over half a game.
