No. 10 Seton Hall (17-5, 9-1) can fortify its lead atop the Big East standings with a gutsy road win at No. 12 Villanova (17-5, 7-3) on Saturday in what should be an enthralling rivalry matchup.

The Pirates have been at their best in all facets of the game since pulling out a scrappy 52-48 win against No. 7 Maryland on Dec. 19. 11-1 in its last 12 contest, Seton Hall is led by sharpshooting senior guard Myles Powell. With 22 points per game, Powell owns the country's ninth best scoring average.

Earlier this week, Villanova fell to No. 19 Butler on a buzzer-beating 3-pointer from Kamar Baldwin. The Wildcats are on their first multi-game losing skid this season but can flip the script with a bounce-back win at home Saturday. Besides, head coach Jay Wright always finds a way to restore balance when it looks like Nova is slipping up.

Despite Seton Hall's edge in the standings, national rankings and its recent losses, Villanova will still likely play as a favorite in this one. There's not a harder time of year to win college basketball games on the road than right now.
