Sergei Bobrovsky's Likely Contract With Florida Panthers Reportedly Revealed

The Florida Panthers were in desperate need for a goaltender entering NHL Free Agency, following the retirement of Roberto Luongo. Now, they got their man in Sergei Bobrovsky to be their goalie for the foreseeable future.

According to The Athletic's Pierre LeBrun, the Panthers have signed Bobrovsky to a seven-year, $70 million contract.

Along with the $10 million annual salary, the Panthers gave Bobrovsky a no move clause through the first five years of the deal.

Bobrovksy has long been linked to the team located in Sunrise, Fla., due to the plethora of cap space available to them and the fact they're located in a tax-free state.

Despite some turmoil with the Columbus Blue Jackets this past season, Bobrovsky was stellar between the pipes. Through 62 games played, he recorded a 2.58 goals-allowed average and a .913 save percentage.

The Florida Panthers fulfilled their destiny, as they were able to get land the two-time Vezina Trophy winner.
