Although the New Orleans Saints' season came to an abrupt halt at the hands of the Minnesota Vikings for the second time in three years, the team flashed multiple bright spots that point to a secure future, even as Drew Brees' window for greatness nears its end. Brees will turn 41 on Jan. 15, and refused to make a comment postgame on his football future. But even with Brees aging, Sean Payton feels the Saints have guys that can and help the team remain competitive.

One of those players is Taysom Hill, the Saints' jack-of-all-trades athlete with seemingly no set position. He played that role perfectly during their matchup with the Vikings Sunday, and effectively set himself up to be a consistent cog in their plans for the foreseeable future with his performance.

Hill completed the only pass he threw -- a 50-yard bomb to Deonte Harris -- that set up New Orleans for a go-ahead touchdown. Hill also the team in rushing on just four attempts, and hauled in a touchdown reception from Brees in the game.

Hill did it all for Sean Payton Sunday, and that -- along with his production all season -- is why Payton wants the 29-year-old in a Saints jersey for many more years to come.

Hill's versatility is a rare gift, and the Saints have utilized him masterfully. Following Payton's comments, it looks clear the team has no intentions of parting ways with No. 7.
