The Cowboys parted ways with offensive coordinator Scott Linehan at the end of last season, and made career backup and Cowboys' quarterback coach Kellen Moore the head of the offense. The move was rather unexpected and left many fans scratching their heads as to why the team would not pursue a coordinator with more experience.

However, Cowboys' veteran linebacker Sean Lee has said the new offense has been a challenge for the defense during camp, a positive sign for the new and hopefully improved Dallas offense.

Lee has seen a lot of offenses in the NFL, so if he thinks defending the Cowboys' new schemes is challenging, then most opposing defenses could feel the same way.

Moore is apparently changing the Cowboys pre-snap motions while inserting fresh plays into what was a relatively stagnant Linehan playbook.

The utilization of all weapons in the passing game as well as the inability to go downfield have been two aspects of the offense that have plagued Dallas' success in past seasons. Moore is looking to spice things up.

The schemes may stay similar, but expect Moore to add versatility and options to every play. We could see more of Ezekiel Elliott in the passing game, more play-action and certainly more downfield creativity. If all of this comes to fruition, Dallas could be positioned for an exciting 2019-2020 season.
