No defensive player in Seahawks history has meant more to this team than star linebacker Bobby Wagner. No. 54 has been so good, Pete Carroll said earlier this year the tackle machine has built himself a Hall-of-Fame resume.

Wagner, who agreed to a three-year extension last summer, means so much to the city of Seattle. But will this be his last campaign in the Emerald City? If you ask Seahawks insider Jim Moore, he thinks that could end up being the case.

Say it ain't so, Jim! Moore does make a good point, as he writes the 6-0, 240 pounder will turn 31 next offseason and will be owed $18 million for the 2021 season. Will Seattle really be ready to dish out that kind of dough to Wagner?

There's no questioning his production, as Wagner time and time again proves to be one of the best LBs in the league. Unfortunately, he's not getting any younger, and John Schneider will have other areas of need he'll want to spend his money to patch.

Since arriving to Seattle in 2012, Wagner helped the Seahawks win a Super Bowl and has been named a First-Team All Pro five times. Oh, he's also posted 1,075 total tackles. The man is a living legend in the 206. Will 2020 be his last in the area? It's something local fans may need to start getting ready for.
