Scott Kingery Exits Phillies Game Against Pirates and is Replaced by 'Benched' Cesar Hernandez
By Michael Luciano

During their matchup against their in-state rival Pittsburgh Pirates, Philadelphia Phillies utility man Scott Kingery, who was playing second base tonight has been taken out of the game in the seventh inning and was replaced by Cesar Hernandez. There has been no word yet on if the switch is injury related.

After a disappointing rookie season, Kingery has emerged as a lynchpin of Gabe Kapler's lineup, slashing .272/.335/.499 with 15 home runs and playing just about every position on the diamond while doing so.
In what can only be described as an extremely awkward moment, Hernandez is back in the lineup after a mysterious benching, which Kapler claims was because of a lack of hustle, though Hernandez claims the skipper told him that was not the reason.

Something has to be up.
Kingery is a vital member for this Phillies team that is making a push for a Wild Card spot, so they'd better hope that this isn't due to injury, though the circumstances are certainly suspicious.
