Scott Frost's Comment After Dreary 1st Half Will Make Nebraska Fans Feel Utterly Helpless

Scott Frost went back to Nebraska where it all began and was suppose to bring prominence back to a program that hasn't seen much winning in quite some time. Or at least, that was the plan.

They won just four games in his first season as head coach, and they were a .500 team heading into their road matchup against the woeful Purdue Boilermakers. The Cornhuskers were supposed to make quick work of this two-win team, but they were down 14-10 at halftime, leading to Frost making this questionable comment:

If only there were a paid member of the athletic department who could help make such adjustments at halftime.

Ouch. So, basically the team should do the exact opposite of what they were doing over the first 30 minutes of the game. Gotcha.

I hope Frost was pointing the finger at himself and the coaching staff, as well. I understand the players are the ones on the field making mistakes, but maybe they weren't prepared properly, which lands squarely on the coaches.

If you're a Nebraska fan right now, you have to feel helpless about the current state of the program. While Frost deserves patience in his attempt to rebuild the Huskers up to their once-great heights, this isn't the start fans had in mind.
