Sam Ponder Was Only Person on ESPN NFL Countdown Who Picked Chiefs to Beat Titans and We're Very Confused

The ESPN NFL Countdown crew made their usual predictions ahead of the AFC Championship Game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Tennessee Titans.

For some reason, the generally-intelligent crew did not have much faith in the home favorite Chiefs. Well, everyone except for Sam Ponder.

This was a bit odd, to say the least. Usually one analyst will go wild and pick the upset. But all four guys taking the Titans was weird to see. Well done, dudes! Dudes had a 100% rate of botching this.

Clearly Ponder wasn't trying to outsmart everyone, and went with the smart pick. That made her a favorite of Chiefs fans watching the broadcast.

ESPN analysts always draw hate from fans of teams who are projected to lose, and this is no different. At least Ponder took the Chiefs to avoid wild claims of ESPN bias against the top team in the AFC.

Now she just has to stick with the Chiefs for her Super Bowl pick to avoid having Kansas City fans turn on her two weeks after praising her.
