Saints CB Marshon Lattimore Expected to Miss Time With Hamstring Injury

Following a shocking loss to the 2-7 Atlanta Falcons, the Saints' hopes of getting the top seed in the NFC took an even bigger hit with the loss of a former Defensive Rookie of the Year.
Per Ian Rapoport, Saints' star cornerback Marshon Lattimore suffered a hamstring strain in the loss to Atlanta and has been labeled as "week-to-week."
#Saints CB Marshon Lattimore suffered a hamstring strain that has him considered week-to-week, source said. That’s a tough loss. His absence was felt quickly Sunday, when #Falcons WR Julio Jones went for a 54-yarder as soon as he exited.

Lattimore, a former first-round pick, has featured in nine games for the Saints this year, recording one interception, 38 tackles and 10 pass defenses.
His absence in Sunday's game was immediately noticeable, as after the star DB left the game with injury, Falcons star WR Julio Jones broke free for a huge gain on the subsequent play.
And based on this hit, it's safe to say Jones was counting his lucky stars that Lattimore would no longer be locking him up.

With a match up against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers awaiting in Week 11, Eli Apple will be forced to step up as the team's top cornerback with Lattimore on the mend.
