Not many things are better than playing wholesome pranks on Christmas.

This is exactly what New Orleans Saints and Washington State Cougars' legend Steve Gleason did, as he decided to let his daughter have a little fun in honor of the holiday.

The little "Elves Rule" written on his forehead with the Elf on the Shelf right next to him is absolutely adorable.

It is heartwarming to see that someone diagnosed with something as serious as Gleason who has been battling ALS since before the birth of his children, can still have fun and see the joy in life.

For example, this tweet that Gleason made during the Saints' clash with the San Francisco 49ers on December 8 is another perfect representation.

This is an upper-echelon dad joke. You absolutely love to see it from Gleason.

Gleason was diagnosed with ALS in 2011, and has become an outspoken member in the ALS community, including starting up his own foundation to help those who also have the condition, called Team Gleason.

In 2012, the Saints unveiled a statue of Gleason, depicting his punt block against the Atlanta Falcons following Hurricane Katrina, just outside the Superdome.

Gleason will go down in Saints history for that punt block on the field, and all the work he has done for ALS off of it.
