The Ohio State Buckeyes could've easily faltered on the recruiting trail with Urban Meyer leaving, but head coach Ryan Day has continued to bring in talent, especially those in the state of Ohio.

Ohio State has their 12th commitment for its 2020 recruiting class, as defensive end Ty Hamilton, the younger brother of Ohio State lineman Davon Hamilton, has decided to sign with the Buckeyes.

Hamilton visited Penn State last week and was scheduled to visit Michigan next week, but that obviously isn't happening now and he ended up choosing a different Big Ten power.

“I looked over those three schools and I asked myself what school would give me the best chance to be a difference maker — Ohio State was the one,” Hamilton told Lettermen Row on Sunday afternoon. “So, after talking to my parents today, I’ve decided to commit to Ohio State.

With the addition of Hamilton, Ohio State still has the top-ranked recruiting class in the conference and now they rank seventh nationally, moving ahead of Florida. Hamilton becomes the second defensive player to commit, and he's also the fifth player from the state of Ohio.
