The second half of the NFL season is going to ooze captivating storylines in regards to playoff races (just look at the current picture), but perhaps the most entertaining narrative will revolve around the MVP race between Russell Wilson and Lamar Jackson.

Coming into Week 10, some would say Wilson was running away with the award, but Jackson's sensational showing against the Bengals -- he completed 15 of his 17 pass attempts (88.2 percent) for three touchdowns and no interceptions for a perfect 158.3 rating -- has catapulted him back into the race.

Wilson needed to respond in a big way on Monday Night Football against the undefeated San Francisco 49ers, and while his stats weren't spectacular, his Seattle Seahawks picked up a MASSIVE road win, and Wilson engineered key drives late in the game, especially with his legs.

Though Wilson wasn't his typical otherworldly self -- he had a costly fumble and interception -- he still made a handful of extraordinary plays scrambling outside of the pocket that gave Seattle a chance to win.

In the end, he threw for 232 yards and one touchdown, and rushed for an additional 53 yards. Again, all that matters is that Seattle picked up the win.

Now, both Jackson (who defeated the Patriots in Week 9) and Wilson have wins against previously undefeated teams on their already impressive resumes. As if this race needed anymore allure, right?

For the season, Wilson is completing 68.5% of his passes for 2,737 yards, 23 touchdowns and 2 interceptions, adding 256 yards and three scores on the ground.

Jackson, on the other hand, is completing 65.9% of his passes for 2,036 yards, 15 touchdowns and five interceptions, adding a whopping 702 yards and six scores with his legs while leading Baltimore to a 7-2 record.

Make no mistake about it folks, this is shaping up to be one of, if not the, most scintillating MVP race in the history of the NFL.
