Rumors Are Swirling About Eagles Possibly Trading Halapoulivaati Vaitai Before Deadline
By Jerry Trotta

The Philadelphia Eagles are still striving to improve their roster ahead of Tuesday's trade deadline as they prepare to slug it out with the Dallas Cowboys in the second half of the season for the NFC East crown.
A player that they've been rumored to be shopping is rotational offensive lineman Halapoulivaati Vaitai. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that there is a "realistic chance" the 26-year-old offensive tackle is traded by the 4:00 p.m. ET deadline on Tuesday.

Schefter didn't exactly disclose what the Eagles will look for in return, but it goes without saying that Doug Pederson's side is desperate for help in the secondary, despite an impressive showing against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.
Philadelphia likely won't get a haul in return for a back-up offensive lineman, but Vaitai will be a serviceable piece to whatever team he lands on, should he be traded, of course.
Vaitai has appeared in 41 games for the Eagles since being drafted in the fifth-round out of TCU back in 2016. He's played just 71 snaps through eight weeks in 2019, but Pro Football Focus holds him in high regards, as they gave him a solid 78.2 overall grade thus far.
The Eagles reportedly "may have a real market" for Halapoulivaati Vaitai.
