Royals Release Photos of Snow-Covered Kauffman Stadium and They're Beautiful

There's a lot going on in the world of Major League Baseball, but most of the most buzzworthy news has to do with the sign-stealing scandal involving the Houston Astros. With the league looking for some form of good news, the Kansas City Royals opted to provide baseball fans with wholesome content.

Snowfall hit the Kansas City area, and it blanketed Kauffman Stadium this week. The Royals' social media team took numerous photos of the ballpark on Wednesday, and they make for some great wallpapers for your phone, should you be interested.

Now those are some beauties.

The one negative to take from these photos is that we are months away from the start of the 2020 regular season. But, Spring Training is right around the corner, so there's that.

Kansas City is entering a new era. World Series-winning skipper Ned Yost announced his retirement at the end of this past season, and was replaced by Mike Matheny. The team is in the midst of a rebuild, with hopes of forming another powerhouse in this new decade. Does the process accelerate in the 2020 season? Who knows.

Until then, the team is filling the void left by the long offseason with winter photos. Feel pity for those who have to shovel out that 38,000-seat stadium.
