Russell Westbrook's coming home. The eight-time All-Star and 2017 MVP will make his return to Chesapeake Energy Arena for the first time since being being traded from Oklahoma City to Houston for Chris Paul after spending more than a decade in OKC. For the "brodie" the stakes couldn't be any higher.

The game will tip off at 9:30 p.m. EST and be broadcast live on AT&T Sportsnet as well as TNT. It will also be available online via the NBA streams subreddit community.

It'll always be a team game no doubt, but Westbrook's dominated the headlines heading into this one, and rightfully so. He's arguably the greatest Thunder player of all-time, and his historical statlines there speak for themselves.

A warm welcome is to be expected, as fans and former teammates alike pay their due respects. As for his Westbrook's team, they're trending upwards, winning eight of their last 10 with current sole position of third place in the West. A win coupled with a Nuggets loss could vault them to second, which raises this game's importance even higher.

Many fans believe it's still up for debate as to who actually came out on top of the Westbrook trade. OKC has been a revelation this season, and are enjoying their own winning streak, taking home 10 of their last 12 bouts.

Chris Paul has been the perfect mentor to Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and is enjoying a resurgence year himself, while his chemistry with Steven Adams only grows.
