Rob Lowe Rips Cubs' Yu Darvish Signing After Citing Dodgers' Game 7 WS Loss
By Jared Kish

Yu Darvish has been anything but great since signing with the Chicago Cubs ahead of the 2018 MLB season. The right hander is just 2-4 on the year with the Cubs and has struggled with control issues all season long.
The Darvish signing has not worked in Chicago's favor and one Hollywood actor and Dodger fan clearly agrees.
As someone who sat through his @Dodgers performance in game 7 of the World Series, what do you think I think?!! https://t.co/V2bsLgcpP9

Rob Lowe was asked on Twitter if he believes Darvish is the worst free agent signing in franchise history for the Cubs. Lowe is a Dodger fan and he watched the veteran hurler crumble in Game 7 of the 2017 World Series when Darvish was a member of the Dodgers responded with. Lowe responded saying, "As someone who sat through his @Dodgers performance in game 7 of the World Series, what do you think I think?!!"
The actor may just be right, the signing has been awful and it all started with that Game 7 performance against the Astros. Darvish has not been the same pitcher since his early days with the Texas Rangers.

In that game 7, Darvish didn't even last two innings and gave up five runs. During the 2017 World Series Darvish only pitched 3.1 innings as a starter, and totaled an ERA of 21.60.
Since joining the Cubs, Darvish has dealt with injury and has outright struggled on the mound. After only pitching 8 starts in 2018, he's already at 17 in 2019. But he has a 4.98 ERA and paces the league with his 49 walks surrendered. He's also allowed 18 home runs as he can't seem to keep the ball in the park.
Theo Epstein has been great at signing players in the past but unfortunately, he got it wrong with this one. Darvish has been nothing short of a train wreck since donning the Cubs uniform.
