There has been a lot of buzz surrounding what school Kerry Blackshear Jr. will pick to complete his college career after he decided to leave Virginia Tech.

According to reports, the lucky winner is the University of Florida.

This grad student is widely regarded as the No. 1 graduate transfer available this offseason after his three seasons in Blacksburg. He entered the NCAA transfer portal on April 16 while he was testing out the waters for the 2019 NBA Draft before ultimately deciding to pull his name from the list of prospects.

The 6-10, 250-pound center visited the Gators, Arkansas Razorbacks, Tennessee Volunteers, and Kentucky Wildcats as he tried to narrow down his search, but perhaps felt the U of F was the best place for him.

Blackshear averaged 14.9 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 0.8 blocks, 0.7 steals per game during his 2019 campaign, helping Virginia Tech advance to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Basketball Tournament before the Hokies were eliminated by the Duke Blue Devils. He scored 18 points, grabbed 16 boards, and recorded 5 assists in the losing effort.

It looks like the SEC will have to deal with him now.
