The Houston Astros reached the World Series for the first time in franchise history back in 2005. The team ultimately got swept by the Chicago White Sox, but fans had plenty of amazing memories from the postseason, which featured Roger Clemens and Andy Pettitte leading Houston to new heights.

The Astros took on the Atlanta Braves in the NLDS for the second consecutive year, and Game 4 headed into extra innings tied 6-6 after the Astros rallied to score five runs between the eighth and ninth innings. Houston held a 2-1 series lead, and fans stayed in their seats awaiting a magical moment.

That finally came in the bottom of the 18th inning when Chris Burke launched a walk-off home run to send the Astros to the NLCS.

Burke had a total of five home runs in 108 games during the 2005 regular season. He was the team's first-round pick in the 2001 draft and was expected to do great things.

The utility man never lived up to his draft slot, but he remains a Houston legend for his walk-off blast.

The Astros have become a powerhouse, winning at least 101 games in each season since 2017. This recent stretch of success has given fans a whole new list of memories, cheating scandal aside. Yet an older generation of Astros fans will smile anytime Burke's name is mentioned. It is hard not to get chills when watching his 2005 walk-off.
