Refs Already Screwing up Oklahoma-Texas With Team-Wide Unsportsmanlike Conduct Penalties
By Mark Powell

Looks like the refs at the Red River Showdown are on a power trip, to say the least.
While one can understand officials having a quick whistle due to the nature of one of the best rivalries in college football, this is certainly taking matters to a new extreme.
After a pregame skirmish in which both sides had to be separated, officials have issued team-wide unsportsmanlike conduct penalties. If a second personal foul is issued to any player during the game, they will be ejected, as they all already have one under their belt. Really?

Just imagine OU-Texas without Jalen Hurts or Sam Ehlinger. We're one on-field mistake or misinterpretation away from either star signal-caller having to watch the rest of this iconic matchup in the locker room. We kid you not, this is chaos waiting to happen, and for once we are NOT all for it.

Let the players decide the game, not the officials. Far too often the refs forget this simple point.
