Just days after Reuben Foster went down with a scary looking knee injury, the Washington Redskins are adding to their linebacking corps with a battle-scarred veteran.

After placing Foster on IR, Washington added journeyman linebacker Jon Bostic.

Selected 50th overall in the 2013 draft out of Florida, Bostic flamed out after just two seasons in Chicago. He bounced around to New England and Indianapolis, eventually landing in Pittsburgh for the 2018 season. As a Steeler, Bostic recorded 73 tackles and 2.5 sacks.

Bostic isn't the best coverage linebacker in the world, but he has all of the tools necessary to be a quality run-stuffer on the inside, which is what defensive coordinator Greg Manusky wants out of his middle linebackers.

While the Redskins were hoping that Foster would turn back the clock to his dominant days at Alabama, Bostic is a low-floor signing who can step in an contribute right away for a defense in need of his services.
