Redskins Reportedly Place TE Jordan Reed on IR
By Chris Pyo

It wasn't too long ago that Jordan Reed was considered to be one of the premier tight ends in the NFL for the Washington Redskins.
However, the Reed era in the nation's capital may be coming to an end, as it was reported by Adam Schefter that Reed will be placed in the IR, all but ending his season.

It's truly an unfortunate end for one of the players who was supposed to be a part of the Redskins' revival. Reed was a Pro Bowler in 2016, and has been a consistent part of the Redskins' offensive arsenal ever since he was drafted in the third round of the 2013 draft.
Reed's injury history recently came into public scrutiny, as it was previously reported that his entire career was in jeopardy as a result of the numerous concussions he had received in his short career.

This is a massive blow to Reed's prospects of ever returning to the field. Many football players have an incredibly difficult time walking away from the game, but in Reed's case, it seems more than necessary after the latest news.
